About

Harbour
[Har-bur]
(n.) A place on the coast where ships may anchor in shelter. A place of protection from rough waters.

The Commitment

At Harbour Wellbeing, I offer a safe, calm and non-judgemental space where children, parents and individuals can feel genuinely heard and understood.

Working with children and young people (age 8 - 25) is my specialist area. I am passionate about helping young people understand their emotions, build resilience and feel secure in who they are. Alongside this, I work closely with parents, because a child’s emotional world does not exist in isolation.

I believe that when parents are supported to understand and regulate themselves, it creates the safety and steadiness children need to thrive. Exploring your own core beliefs, values and emotional patterns helps you recognise what may be shaping your responses at home. From there, we can build stronger foundations - not just for you, but for your whole family.

My core message is simple: when one person invests in their own healing, the ripple effect reaches far beyond them. Calmer homes. Stronger relationships. More secure children. A more connected family life.

Guided by compassion, evidence-based practice and genuine lived experience, I work collaboratively every step of the way. Whether I am supporting your child, you as a parent, or you as an individual, my aim is to help you put down what you’ve been carrying, feel lighter, and move forward in alignment with who you truly are - strengthening home life from the inside out.

The Therapist

Mental health nurse
CBT therapist

Hello, my name is Leanne and I am the Founder of Harbour Wellbeing.

I am a registered Mental Health Nurse, as well as a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, and I have over 10 years of experience working within child and family mental health and wellbeing.

My passion for this work comes from both extensive professional training, and personal lived experience.

I have seen first-hand the powerful impact that compassionate, effective support can have. I have also witnessed significant gaps in care throughout my professional journey - times when individuals and families were left without the understanding and continuity they deserved. That never sat comfortably with me.

Harbour Wellbeing was created from that place. A genuine, strong belief in the value of meaningful, tailored support, and a commitment to strengthening the care available to children, parents and families at the times where they are feeling most vulnerable.

I truly believe in creating space to take care of your own mental health and wellbeing. When we do this, we not only grow as individuals, but also strengthen the relationships and networks around us.

I have a long history of working with children, teens, and young adults, as well as parents, and I’ve found that my relaxed, no-pressure approach really complements this work.

I absolutely love supporting people as they navigate life’s challenges, and since having my own children, my passion has also extended to supporting maternal mental health and wellbeing.

I firmly believe that to best support your children, you need to look after and strengthen your own wellbeing too - role modelling at it's finest.
